Chandler Center for the Arts

As the Chandler Center for the Arts embarked on a new artistic initiative to broaden its audience with diverse programming, it needed a new brand identity, one that built on the Center’s good will and strengths, while expanding the perception as the center for the community. Drawing on the origins of Chandler’s agricultural roots as well as the grids and circuits of its high-tech industries, we developed a multi-layered symbol, inspired by the Center's function as a central gathering space, its iconic revolving theaters, and the encircling warmth of the community.

Southwest Shakespeare Company

Heading into it's 30th Anniversary season, Southwest Shakespeare Company was looking to launch a new look. The theatre company's previous identity was rooted in a more traditional and old-world look and was no longer capturing the company's innovative and modern spirit. The new identity features a clean, contemporary design that reflects the fresh, creative energy of their productions and theater-making spaces, making it more representative of the company's evolving appeal to a modern audience. Drawing from colors of the southwest and the Arizona flag, the 30th season was launched with a unique campaign logo, captivating show identities, and a fresh website design.

ASU Kerr Cultural Center

An adobe house built in 1948, the Kerr Cultural Center was once an artist retreat, where musicians, poets, composers and writers arrived to relax, create, and perform. Now owned by Arizona State University, ASU Kerr presents a wide array of concerts in its unique studio space, from jazz and global music, to indie folk. We were tasked with creating a unique brand identity for ASU Kerr, white also remaining part of the university’s institutional brand. Using the historical and Southwestern aspects of the eclectic space and the fresh, new artists that perform there today, we created a brand system that allowed for individual creativity and variety, yet functioned within ASU’s standards. ASU Kerr’s new brand is “where hip meets historical" with electrifying, contemporary gradients and textures and icons inspired by the architectural features found at the site.
